CATI SNARR

A Salt Lake City native, Cati began her formal ballet training with Ballet West studying under Willam F. Christensen, Denise Schultz and Louis Godfrey. She attended and had scholarships to numerous summer intensive programs. At the age of 15, she performed Sleeping Beauty with Ballet West at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC and then continued dancing professionally with the company under Bruce Marks and John Hart CBE, later attending BYU and then pursuing a professional ballet and theatre career. She was able to tour nationally and internationally performing works in ballet, musical theatre and teaching dance workshops. Cati was the Ballet West Children’s Ballet Mistress and a principal teacher for the Ballet West Academy for over 20 years. In 2020, she started Utah Dance Institute as the owner and Artistic Director. Her advanced degree from the University of Utah gave her the confidence to also found Utah Dance Outreach a non-profit taking dance into local schools and educating students on social issues through he medium of dance. This program is recognized and supported by the Governor’s office. She is a choreographer and producer for NHL, NCAA halftime entertainment, and has worked on 15 NFL Superbowl halftime shows. She has received an Emmy for her choreography achievements and several nominations for her work.
